The GF8200 M2+

Slightly unexpected, Biostar is the first motherboard manufacturer to announce a GeForce 8200-based motherboard with the GF8200 M2+. However, this is a paper launch and there aren't even any pictures of the board on Biostar's Website as yet.

We're not sure which version of the MCP78 this board is using, but what we can tell you is that this is a mATX board which supports all AM2 and AM2+ processors, it has a single x16 PCIe 2.0 slot, a x1 PCIe slot and two PCI slots.

It also has six SATA ports, Gigabit Ethernet, RAID 0, 1 and 0+1, 12 USB 2.0 ports, of which some will be off headers on the motherboard, 5.1-channel sound, DVI and HDMI as an optional feature.

The integrated graphics chipset only has a 300MHz RAMDAC, which is a bit of a letdown as most graphics cards these days use 400MHz. But as the GeForce 8200 is limited to 1,920x1,200 resolution this shouldn't cause too much of an issue.
