First in the new Quantum Force series lineup

Foxconn has announced a launch of its first overclocking motherboard simply called MARS. Mars will be the first in a new product line called Quantum Force. The Quantum Force series will now be Foxconn's brand for overclocking and gaming enthusiasts.

Foxconn's MARS is based on Intel's P35 chipset and comes specially tuned for overclocking. It has one PCIe x16 slot and one PCIe x4 slot with Crossfire support. In addition to that board comes with two PCIe x1 slots and three plain PCI slots. It also has 1 eSATA, 6 SATAII, 2 IEEE1394a, 12 USB2.0 and 1 old ATA  and integrated sound with 7.1 channel HD Audio, Gigabit LAN.

The new MARS motherboard comes with a Gladiotor BIOS, specially developed for Quantum Force series. The board has already on the eight place in 3DMark05 with 575MHz FSB and thats without LN2 cooling and dual x8 or x16 bandwidth on Crossfire. So the result is actually very good. Of course, overclocking motherboards must have special on board buttons that make overclockers life a bit easier, like CMOS clear button, on/off/reset buttons, OC Recover (which automatically recovers to last good setting after a failure) and OC Gear (which allows you to store OC profiles).

The board uses 100% solid capacitors, and comes cooled with the heatpipe system that Foxconn calls Cool-Pipe. Board should be available at the end of September, and should cost around around £125 inc. VAT. This motherboard must be the result of Foxconn's employment of DFI engineers, which we wrote about here.
