Motherboard makers in Taiwan have doubts that Intel's IGP drivers will match the performance claims the company is making for them.

Rather than go on record they are leaking their displeasure to different IT magazines anonymously, here.

Intel thinks it will be able to improve graphics performance by introducing new drivers for its integrated graphics processors.

It plans new drivers for its G965, GM965 and G35 chipsets to support Vertex Shader 3.0 in August. Two new drivers, 15.6 and 14.31, will be introduced to support Windows Vista and XP.

However the motherboard makers are concerned that the drivers still do not support a certain number of well-known games. The G35, though claimed to support DirectX 10, is only "hardware ready".
