Integrated for Intel

Nvidia  has one more integrated chipset and it plans to release this part in second quarter of 2007. The chip is called MCP73 and is a unified Northbridge and Southbridge chipset for Intel CPUs.

We don’t have many details but we know it supports DirectX 9 graphics and that it is fully Vista premium capable.

It also supports HDMI and should not be that different from MCP68, the AMD chipset with DirectX 9 graphic that Nvidia plans to release at Cebit. SATA 2 controllers, Gigabit Ethernet will be part of the new chipset.

Nvidia will compete soon to be launch Intel G33 board also scheduled for Q2 2007. AMD won’t make any R690 version for Intel because vendors would be too scared of Intel to buy it. Just look what happened to RD600 chipset.
