10Gbps/3.87Gbps and better battery life

Samsung has announced its newest 4nm Exynos Modem 5300, which promises impressive download and upload speeds and better power efficiency.

Built on Samsung's 4nm EUV manufacturing process, the Samsung Exynos Modem 5300 is promising impressive download and upload speeds, reaching up to 10Gbps and up to 3.87Gbps, respectively. It also promises ultra-low latency with support for FR1, FR2, and EN-DC technology. It supports cross-generation network connectivity, with support for up to 5G (in both NSA and SA modes), LTE, 3G, and 2G.

the Exynos Modem 5300 is said to be configured as a chipset, consisting of a modem, supply modulator, clock buffer, phase array, PMIC, and antenna module, as well as a built-in PCIe, in order to both make product design simpler and easier, as well as provide better power efficiency and offer low latency and fast data transfer rates between the modem and the mobile processor.

According to Samsung, the Exynos Modem 5300 has been verified by multiple global mobile network operators (MNOs) and support of 3GPP’s 5G NR Release 16. Unfortunately, there is no official confirmation of chipsets that will use the new Exynos Modem 5300. Still, rumors floating around suggest that it could debut on Google's Tensor 3 chipset, launching with the Pixel 8 series.
