Poco M4 Pro 5G comes with Dimensity 810 SoC

by on09 November 2021

Gets a better camera and 33W fast charging

While the Poco M3 Pro 5G was unveiled not more than six months ago, Poco has now prepared the replacement in the form of the Poco M4 Pro 5G, giving it a slightly larger screen, Mediatek's Dimensity 810 SoC, better camera system, and 33W fast charging.

In case you are wondering, the Poco M4 is identical to the Redmi Note 11, just with Poco branding.

The Poco M4 Pro 5G features a 6.6-inch 1080p+ resolution screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 450nits of brightness, 240Hz sampling rate, and Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it.

The heart of the Poco M4 Pro 5G is Mediatek's 6nm Dimensity 810 SoC, which is not a great deal as it packs older Cortex-A76 CPU cores and Cortex-A55 power-efficient cores, as well as the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, and support for LPDDR4x memory. The SoC is paired up with 4GB or 6GB of RAM (with 5GB of virtual RAM), and 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Poco decided to somewhat upgrade the camera system as well so you get a dual sensor system with a main 50-megapixel sensor placed behind an f/1.8 lens, backed by an 8-megapixel one behind an f/2.2 119-degree ultra-wide lens. The front camera is upgraded to a 16-megapixel sensor behind an f/2.45 lens.

The rest of the specifications and features include a side fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, all the usual sensors, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

The price is set at a reasonable €230 for the 4GB/64GB and €250 for the 6GB/128GB model, and there is a special "singles day" deal, offering the Poco M4 Pro 5G for €200 and €220, respectively. It is available in Power Black, Cool Blue, and Poco Yellow color options.
