Microsoft new Surface might come with AMD hardware

As well as a 15-inch screen model

Since Microsoft has scheduled a big Surface event for October 2nd, there were plenty of rumors floating around, suggesting that we might see both a larger 15-inch version of the new Surface Laptop, as well as first-ever one based on AMD hardware.

While the biggest Surface Laptop was coming with a 13.5-inch screen (except for the Surface Book 2, which was available with 13.5-inch and 15-inch PixelSense Display), it appears that Microsoft will be bringing a bigger one on October 2nd, at least judging from WinFuture's report.

While there aren't a lot of details, the report suggests the company will keep the 3:2 aspect ratio as well as keep the support for Surface Pen, and the screen will not be detachable.

The Verge, on the other hand, released a big-impact rumor suggesting that we might see an AMD-powered Surface Laptop 3 as well, but it is not clear if it will come as an option for all models, or just sticking to certain screen size.

Microsoft is expected to show plenty of new devices at its October 2nd event, including an updated Surface Pro, Snapdragon-based Surface, and even a dual-screen Surface.
