OnePlus 6T has in display fingerprint

by on11 September 2018

October 17th launch

It is no big secret that OnePlus has very close ties with Oppo and this company already demonstrated some mind-blowing designs including the camera sliding Find X. OnePlus 6T seems to be launching on October 17 at 11.00 AM and comes with an in display fingerprint reader.

A few phones have in display fingerprint readers and Vivo was the noisiest of most of the phones with this feature followed by a single design with Xiaomi MI8 explorer edition and the Porsche design Huawei mate RS.

The phone is also rumored to have a water drop front face camera notch which will be predominant on high-end phones launching in late 2018 or early 2019. The other alternative - as we pointed out in a separate article - will be a sliding front face camera module, but this is obviously a more expensive approach.

Bear in mind that OnePlus kept increasing prices over the years, but it still remained very moderately priced for the high-end hardware and features that it packs. The OnePlus 6 with a very high end specification starts at €/$ 519 which is rather a good price that just got challenged by Pocophone with a similar spec and a much lower price.

The Snapdragon 845 is definitely a part of the design and the fact is that Google has an event a week earlier and Huawei has a global event in London a day earlier. This will be a rather busy time for  smartphone journalists. So October 17, and we will let you know what when we learn
