Xiaomi Gaming Black Shark pictured

The gaming phone

Xiaomi has another rather interesting phone in the pipeline. This time it is a gaming phone, something to succeed Razer. The phone - codenamed Blackshark - comes with the Snapdragon 845 and 8GB of RAM. The codename could actually even be the product name as apparently Xiaomi owns a company with the same name.

The phone comes with 2160x1080 screen and the rumor on the street is that it might come with an OLED screen and even 120 Hz. It will be most likely OLED or 120 Hz, not both. You can see that it comes with two cameras and a LED light at the back.

To stir the soup even more, there could be a under display fingerprint reader and the phone pictured has some kind of gaming accessories that may bring some kind of controllers on this gaming phone.

Black Shark

Adreno 630 promises up to 30 percent better gaming performance compare to the Snapdragon 835 last year's phones while being more power efficient.

There is a launch event scheduled just four days from now, on April 13th in Beijing. This might be the device intended to sell outside China, but that remains to be seen. One thing is certain, it is rather fast for a 845 device and it will run games really well. It will most likely be good for VR/AR too.
