Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has Snapdragon and Exynos

by on02 August 2016

Same as S7, S7 Edge

Samsung will launch its Galaxy Note 7 today and it will stream events. The latest info is that the phone comes with Exynos 8890, the similar to what we’ve seen in S7 and S7 Edge but we have heard that there will be a Snapdragon version too.

AT&T  launched Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge phones exclusively with Snapdragon 820 processors due to its modem supremacy, and our industry sources are quite confident we will see the same scenario all over again.

It turns out that Europe will get stuck with Exynos while the US gets the Snapdragon 820 / 821. We will have to wait and see which of the two will be used on the Note 7 as different sources were citing different Snapdragons. In any case the difference is in the clock speed and you can expect that the CPU and GPU end up some 10 percent faster.

Galaxy Note 7 will be quite expensive. Sammobile claims as much as 849 Euros but lets hope for Samsung’s sake that the phone will sell. In the last few years everyone jumped on board with larger phones, including Apple, and Samsung got a lot of competition in the market that it invented and started.

The launch today includes an upgraded pen, a USB Type-C port, a 3,500mAh battery as well as Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is one of the things that should be rock solid.
