Not till early 2010, but it will arrive
The red “V” crew again confirmed today that they will be getting the Palm Pre despite what you might have heard from other sources. Verizon says that they intend to launch the Palm Pre in early 2010. Verizon joins AT&T in saying that they will launch a Palm WebOS powered handset in the North American market.
In other Verizon news, the company announced that they will be slashing their headcount by about 8,000 before the end of 2009. This news was on the heels of the announcement that the Verizon’s Q2 earnings were only up by 11 percent, but what might be more telling is that the company had an increase of 52.6 percent in data revenue.
