Sceptics are carrying the day

A survey conducted by Markitecture indicates that only six per cent of the world would consider buying an iPhone.

Knowledge of the phone and what it would do seems to have reached about 77 per cent of people and 41 per cent were actually impressed. Of those who knew about the iPhone 83 per cent were impressed.

While this tribute to Apple's marketing skills might bode well, Markitecture said that of those who were impressed only six per cent said they might buy one.

While six per cent of the market would normally be considered a good thing, the fact that 94 per cent expressed total disinterest is considered a bad thing.

The reasons they said they would not even look at it was because it was too expensive, there was a lack of multiple carriers, and contract issues.
