Using a standard M.2 2280 form-factor with PCIe Gen3 x4 interface, and featuring a combination of Silicon Motion controller with 2nd-generation 64-layer 3D TLC NAND, the new ADATA XPG GAMMIX S11 SSD is pretty much the successor to the earlier available XPG GAMMIX S10 SSD.

The ADATA XPG GAMMIX S11 is pretty much the same as the earlier announced XPG-series SX8200 PCIe NVMe 1.3 M.2 SSD, offering the same sequential read and write performance of up to 3200MB/s and 1700MB/s, with maximum 4k random read and write performance of up to 310K and 280K IOPS.

The only noticeable difference is that the XPG GAMMIX S11 comes with a black and red XPG heatsink, which promises up to 10C cooler temperatures, while the SX8200 comes with an optional clean-black heatsink.

Since it is based on 3D TLC NAND, it does not come as a surprise that it features SCL Caching as well as DRAM cache buffer and LDPC (low-density parity check) error correcting code technologies.

The ADATA XPG GAMMIX S11 SSD is backed by a five year warranty and will be available soon with a price set at $139.99 for the 240GB, $259.99 for the 480GB, and $309.99 for the 960GB model, which is pretty much the same as the XPG SX8200 SSD lineup.
