DRAMeXchange predicts

The price of DRAM should soon bottom out, according to the latest report from market research firm DRAMeXchange.

The DRAM contract price slid to roughly USD $20 in April, but demand is expected to increase, as PC OEMs build up on their inventory. The company said that it thinks that the current extremely low DRAM pricing levels cannot last.

Price declines have pushed DRAM makers nearly to the wall as current declines in the DRAM contract price have been much bigger than originally expected.

Manufacturers are trying to further cut down costs.
