A lot of angles

After our original article on Lasso we realized that there is a lot of interest for this product. As we said before, you need to have a notebook with XGP connector and currently Fujitsu Siemens is the only one to have it. Unfortunately, this model is still not on the market but it looks that it will show up shortly.

The XGP connector is 3cm wide and doesn’t take that much space on your notebook and it provides PCIe 8X.

The retail box has a DC plug, DVI and HDMI. The left hand side of the Amilo branded XGP box has XGP cable connector and two fully functional USBs.

As you can see in the picture its not that big and it is recognized as M88, which is a mobile codename for RV670. The card inside of the external box is a notebook version of the card and in the future XGP will get a faster version of ATI graphics, such as upcoming mobile version of RV770 codenamed M98.
