£138.64 including VAT, or more

If you are from the U.K. and you want to get a Radeon HD 4850 card, don’t panic, as ATI plans to release them today at 2 P.M. British standard time, which is just a few minutes from press time.

The usual suspects, such as Overclockers and possibly Ebayer and Scan, should have them listed and we are quite surprised with this very odd way of launching cards.

We’ve learned that Radeon HD 4850 should be available in healthy quantities and Overclockers might even ship them on Saturday to you. There will be many brands available to choose from, but we don’t even need to say it: except for the packaging, nothing is actually different between these cards.

Overclockers has listed Asus, HIS and Sapphire as available, while Asus's 1024MB version of 4850 with £161 price including VAT comes a bit later. Gigabyte and Power Color are also available at pre-oder.

HIS  is the cheapest and you can buy it for £138.64 including VAT, while Sapphire and Asus cost the same £143.34 including VAT.

They are all listed here.
