A new Black Pearl from Asus

This time it's a graphics card

From time to time, Asus has released Black Pearl branded motherboards and they have in general been fairly decent motherboards with an all black PCB. Now Asus has launched its first Black Pearl graphics card and to be honest, we're quite disappointed.

Sure, the card is black, unlike the normal blue color Asus normally uses for its Nvidia cards, but making a Black Pearl edition out of a 9600 GT isn't really a big deal. The card will go under the name of EN9600GT BLACK PEARL/HTDI/512M and it looks very similar to the previous 9600 GT cards from Asus, apart from the black PCB and the cooler.

The card features what appears to be a black Zalman VF900 cooler rather than the Glaciator found on the other 9600 GT cards from Asus. As the model name suggests, this card supports HDMI via a DVI to HDMI adapter, it has 512MB of memory and it also features all solid capacitors.

The card is likely to be overclocked, as well, but we don't know what the final clock speeds will be or when this card will become available, but you can see what it looks like on the picture below.
