Chiphell strips the 9800 GX2

Just to take away some of the glory of the Radeon HD 3870 X2 while it's still in its prime, Chiphell has stripped Nvidia's upcoming Geforce 9800 GX2 and taken advantage of it. What's under the dual cooler is more or less known, but this is the first time that the new Geforce 9800 GX2 has posed in the nude for the camera.

The dual sided cooler features a whole lot of thermal paste and has a copper core for both GPUs. One of the PCBs also features the NF200 chip, which is being used on the nForce 780i SLI motherboard. This seems to be used in a similar fashion to the IDT chip found on the HD 3870 X2. The new 9800 GX2 features an SLI connector, which should mark the return of Quad SLI; this will probably cost you an arm and a leg, a kidney and maybe a bit more.
