In two flavors

HIS has announced its HD 3450 series in two flavors, both with GDDR2 memory. One will use HIS's  iFan to actively cool the card, while the other will be a passive solution. The actively cooled one is called HIS HD 3450 iFan, while the passive one will be branded HIS HD 3450 Silence.

According to the HIS Web site there's no difference between those cards, at least not as far as the specifications go. Both the iFan and the Silence HD 3450 will are clocked at 600MHz for the clock and 400MHz (800MHz effective) for the 256MB of GDDR2 working with 64bit memory interface.

The only difference is in the cooling solution and the height of the card. The iFan version is a low-profile card with a small fan placed over the GPU. The Silence version has a low-profile PCB, but due to the size of the passive heatsink located on the GPU, the entire card ends up to be the size of a full-sized card.

Both of the cards have DirectX 10.1, Shader Model 4.1 and PCI Express 2.0 support.
