384MB for 153 Euro

Two Palit/XpertVision 8800GS cards have been listed on a German e-tail site.

The 384MB version is listed at 153 Euro and seems to be a reference design top to bottom. You can find the listing here.

The 8800GS Sonic is a bit more interesting. It packs 768MB of memory and it will probably feature a non-reference cooler. It is listed at 177 Euro, here.

Although the retailer claims both cards are reference clocked, with 550MHz core, 800MHz memory and 1375MHz Shader clock, this doesn't seem likely.

Expreview tested these cards, and according to the review, the 384MB version is clocked at 575/1438/1700 MHz and the 768MB version at 600/1500/1800MHz. You can check it out here.

The cards are still unavailable, and by the looks of it only XFX managed to stock enough cards, as it is the only AIB to have its 8800 GS cards on the shelves, at least in the EU. We're still waiting for Asus, EVGA and Palit.
