ATI is planning an aggressive price attack on Nvidia. It plans to price its slower version of the RV635 card at $79.

This card works at 725MHz GPU and 1000MHz memory, and this is enough to give Nvidia’s 8600 GT DDR2 some serious competition.

ATI is also betting on video performance where this product ends up dominant versus Nvidia cards.

The disappointing part is that Radeon HD 2600XT works at 800MHz and ends up as a winner in performance games over the 3650 DDR3 and DDR2, but this clearly indicates that there will be one 36x0 named product with higher clocks.
