Don't hold your breath yet

Expreview claims that they've managed to score some of the specs of Nvidia's upcoming D9P GPU, or the Geforce 9600 GT, as they're calling it. However, considering that they've already updated the specifications once since they posted the info, we wouldn't bet money on it being correct.

The card is meant to be using a new PCB layout with the GPU clocked around 500MHz with the memory at 2GHz. It will apparently only feature 64 Shader processors, but this is a mainstream part, so it's not that big of a deal. However, if their information is correct, everyone will be glad to hear that the 9600 GT will use a 256-bit memory interface, up from the current 128-bit memory interface of the 8600-series.

Expreview also claims that this will be the first card to launch in the Geforce 9-series and that we can expect them to turn up in time for Valentine's Day. The question is, will it be love at first sight?
