800/1200MHz for €219

Alternate.de
has listed PowerColor's overclocked HD3870 with its heatpipe Professional Cooling System, or PCS, courtesy of ZEROtherm. We already reviewed Powercolor's HD3850 with the same cooler and in case you've missed it, you can catch up here.

The HD3870 is clocked at 800MHz for the core, 25MHz above the reference, while the memory is clocked at 1200MHz, 75MHz over the reference clock. These clocks might not seem impressive at first glance, but keep in mind that most ATI partners chose the same clocks for their overclocked HD3870 cards, and there's probably some headroom for overclocking too.

At the moment it looks like ASUS has the fastest overclocked HD3870 with an 850MHz GPU clock, but its memory runs at a modest 1140MHz. Only GeCube has faster memory on its X-Turbo III card, with a 1220MHz memory clock and 800MHz for the core.

You can check out the PowerColor HD3870 PCS listing here, and as you've probably guessed by now, the card is not available.
