AMD's recently launched RV670 chip has already found a lot of early adopters in the Radeon 3870 and 3850 cards, but DAAMIT is actually planning to get this chip into the notebook space as soon as possible.

Just as Nvidia is planning a mobile G92 version of the Geforce 8800 GT, branded as the 8800M GTX, ATI will introduce its RV670 mobile chip. ATI has a big advantage, as it dissipates less than 80W, at least for the desktop part, but with some optimization and a more modest clock, we might be getting a great mobile GPU at a great price/performance ratio.

Traditionally, AMD has to wait for OEMs to change their production cycle and as soon as this happens (in other words, when one of the big OEMs or ODMs (Originl Design Manufacturers)) releases a new machine powered with mobile RV670, AMD will introduce this part.
