In Euroland, many available

At least there is some good news for U.K. based readers. We found a variety of available 8800 GT cards on this nice sunny island, while the rest of E.U. is struggling to get any 8800 GT cards.

The biggest etailer, OcUK, taken care by a graphic character known as Gibbo, has 10+ Asus 8800 GT cards and 3 of its own OcUK GeForce 8800 GT 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail cards. This is an Nvidia reference card packed in OcUK package.

The cards are selling for £176, which is $365 or €252.5 or £188 for Asus retail, which translates into a pricey $390 or €269, and you can buy them here.

The second usual suspect, Scan computers has four cards in stock. You can buy Asus, Leadtek, Gigabyte and Gainward and they will all cost £176 a piece. EVGA, BFG and XFX are not available at press time.

You can check for them and buy them here. Compared to U.S. prices these prices are still a huge rip off. But, compared to E.U. pricing, this time around U.K. got a better deal than the rest of the Euro powered E.U. territory.
