A reader made one of the first benchmarks of the Sapphire Radeon HD 2900XT with 1 GB at 1,920x1,080 resolution and got some very interesting scores. the card will score 6,503 at this high resolution. The card works at 745 MHz core and 2,000 MHz memory.You can check it out here.

Once he overclocked the card to 825 MHz core and 2.3 GHz memory he got much higher score of 7,512. The test PC had an FX 60 dual core CPU with 2 GB of DDR500 memory.

As you can see in the screenshot, Futuremark recognises this card as an "ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT With 1029 MB Memory". You can check out the overclocked score here.

Keep in mind that the card can probably score even higher, but Nate decided to use Windows Vista for this small experiment. We would like to thank him for sharing these details with us.
