ATI will
launch nine cards in the new Radeon HD 2000 series on the 14th of May, at 15.00 Central European time or 9 AM Eastern time. It will start talking about nine cards, seven of which are 65 nanometre.

The one we talked a lot about is called Radeon HD 2900XT with 512MB GDDR3 and it's powered by the R600 and manufactured at 80 nanometre. This is the fastest card to hit the retail and etail.

Next up is the Radeon HD 2900XL card, again with 512 MB GDDR3, R600 chip and 80 nanometre core. The rest of the cards are 65 nanometre and are HD 2600 or HD 2400 based.

The fastest mainstream card is the Radeon HD 2600 XT with 512MB of GDDR4 memory. It is based on the RV630, 65 nanometre chip. The next one is the Radeon HD 2600 XT with 512MB of GDDR3 memory and it will be slightly faster than the GDDR4 card. It is also based on the RV630, 65 nanometre chip.

The third RV630 card is the Radeon HD 2600 XT with 256MB of GDDR3 memory. This card is also based on the RV630, 65 nanometre chip. The last RV630, 65 nanometre based card is the Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB of GDDR3 memory. We still don't know the exact clock speeds but we believe that DAAMIT still has to make its mind up.

At the entry level ATI plans to launch three HD 2400 based card.

The top one is the Radeon HD 2400 XT with 256MB of DDR2 memory. This card is based on the RV610, 65 nanometre core. The second one is the Radeon HD 2400 Pro, again with 256MB of DDR2 memory and based on the RV610, 65 nanometre core.

Last but not the least we have the Radeon HD 2400 PRO with 128MB of DDR2 memory. This card is also based on RV610, 65 nanometre core.

So now you know.
