Available on January 5th for $799

Nvidia has officially announced its Geforce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card, currently the least expensive card in the RTX 40 series. The Geforce RTX 4070 Ti will be available on January 5th for $799.

At its CES 2023 press event, Nvidia officially unveiled the RTX 4070 Ti, an AD104-based graphics card packing 60 SMs with 7680 CUDA cores for a total of 40 TFLOPs of compute performance. It comes with 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory on a 192-bit memory interface, peaking at 504GB/s of memory bandwidth. The TGP is set at 285W and it will feature the same 12VHPWR connector.

With the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti, Nvidia is targeting 1440p gaming with ray tracing enabled, and also claims that it should deliver a decent framerate at 4K/UHD resolution as well, all thanks to DLSS 3, of course. Performance-wise, the RTX 4070 Ti matches the performance of the RTX 3090 Ti, but with a much better performance/Watt.

Unlike the RTX 4090 and the RTX 4080, the RTX 4070 Ti apparently won't get a Founders Edition and so we are looking at custom designs from usual suspects, most of which will come with a hefty triple-fan cooler.

In case you missed it, the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti is basically the canceled RTX 4080 12GB graphics card, which was announced earlier at $899 but got scrapped for its name.

Reviews should be up tomorrow, and it should hit retail and e-tail shelves on January 5th. Luckily, Nvidia has dropped the price by $100, down to $799.
