While earlier rumors suggested that the RX 6700 series could launch as early as the end of January, the latest information from Cowcotland, citing unnamed sources, suggests that the RX 6700 series is scheduled to launch in the end of the first quarter this year, which lines up with the end of March.

Cowcotland also had some specifications to share, reporting that the RX 6700 series will be based on Navi 22 GPU, which packs a total of up to 40 Compute Units, or 2560 Stream Processors. This means that the RX 6700XT will be exactly half the full Navi 21 chip, or the flagship Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card.

In addition to the fully enabled Navi 22 GPU, the Radeon RX 6700 XT is rumored to come with 12GB of memory on a 192-bit memory interface.

The Radeon RX 6700, on the other hand, could also come with 12GB of memory as well, which might have changed Nvidia plans a bit.

The picture of the Radeon RX 6700 series has previously leaked online showing a dual-fan cooler card with two 8-pin PCIe power connectors.

Hopefully, we will hear more detailed specifications as we draw closer to the end of Q1 2021.
