Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti spotted in AotS benchmark

by on22 January 2019

Should launch in February

It appears that Nvidia is gearing up for the launch of its first non-RTX Turing-based graphics card as the GTX 1660 Ti has been spotted in Ashes of the Singularity benchmark.

Originally spotted by Tum Apisak over at Twitter, the GTX 1660 Ti was allegedly tested on a notebook platform, so it is still not clear if we are looking at both simultaneous launch on mobile and desktop platforms, but according to all the rumors floating around, both the GTX 1660 Ti and the GTX 1660 should launch in February.

There is not much to talk about leaked benchmark results, where the GTX 1660 Ti got the 7,400 score. According to the same Twitter post, the GTX 1060 hits about 6,200 points.

According to earlier leaks, the GTX 1660 Ti should use the TU116 GPU with 1536 CUDA cores and come with 6GB of GDDR6 memory. It will lack some, if not all RTX features, and should fit nicely below the RTX 2060.

Hopefully, more details will show up pretty soon.
