Titan Xp Collector's Edition is Star Wars tribute

by on07 November 2017

Two different versions

Nvidia has piqued a lot of interest by teasing the new Titan Xp Collector's Edition but it appears that this is only a tribute to Star Wars as it will be available in the Jedi Order and the Galactic Empire version with standard clocks.

As noted, both versions of the Nvidia Titan Xp Collector's Edition are based on the same Nvidia Pascal GP102 GPU with 3,840 Cuda cores, 1582MHz GPU Boost clock and 12GB of 11.4Gbps clocked GDDR5X memory on a 384-bit memory interface.

Both versions have different cooler die-cast aluminum shrouds with matching Galactic Empire and Jedi Order design, that should emulate the design of lightsabres, as well as matching red and green LED color, Jedi Order or Galactic Empire logos and special backplate.

While these are nothing special to write home about, they will certainly find their buyers, especially with the recent launch of Star Wars Battlefront 2 game and the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie.

The new Star Wars-themed Titan Xp Collector's Edition should be available for pre-order tomorrow with a price set at US $1199.99/£1149. Those running Nvidia's Geforce Experience will also get an exclusive pre-order access directly from Nvidia's store.
