Blurry Radeon RX Vega spotted online

by on17 March 2017

White backplate and not much more

A blurry picture has leaked online showing what should be a reference version of the upcoming AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics card.

Coming from Chiphell, the picture has been taken at the Beijing Technology summit, and while it does not reveal a lot of information, it does show the recently Radeon RX Vega logo on top of a white backplate. The picture also shows that RX Vega will most likely be a standard-size graphics card, unlike the R9 Fury X, which was somewhat shorter.

The cooler looks a lot like the R9 Fury X and RX 480, but with a white backplate. The picture also shows that the card will need two PCIe power connectors, most likely 2x8-pin or even 8+6-pin combination.

Judging from these leaked pictures, it appears that AMD's marketing team is working hard and this could well be the prototype that was running on a couple of recent AMD events.

Hopefully, more details will come soon and it appears that AMD will keep its promise that the RX Vega will launch in the first half of this year, most likely at Computex 2017 show.
