The GM107-300 and GM107-400

Thanks to Videocardz.com, we can now take a look at first pictures of the upcoming GM107 Maxwell GPUs from Nvidia which will power the upcoming Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 and Geforce GTX 750 Ti graphics cards scheduled to launch on February 18th.

According to the report, the GM107-300 and the GM107-400 are pretty much a hybrid between the GK106 and the GK107 Kepler GPUs. With die size of around 156mm2, the GM107 is much smaller than the GK106, but packs the same amount of CUDA cores. Both GPUs will feature a 128-bit memory interface.

The GM107-300 will be powering the Geforce GTX 750 and should end up with 768 CUDA cores, 64 TMUs and 16 ROPs, while the GM107-400, which will be behind the GTX 750 Ti cooler, will pack 960 CUDA cores, 80 TMUs and 16 ROPs. According to  other reports, the GPU clocks should be at well over 1000MHz and since partners will come up with its own designs from day one, there will be a lot of different ones on the market.

According to Videocardz.com, the 28nm GM107 GPUs will feature a quite better power efficiency and despite having the same amount of CUDA cores and high GPU clocks, some might end up without additional power connectors, or simply have a TDP of up to 75W. This is pretty much in line with what we wrote before.

In any case, we will know for sure in a couple of days as we draw closer to the GTX 750/GTX 750 Ti launch date.
