AMD rolls out Catalyst 12.11 Beta 11 driver

AMD has released the latest beta update for its Catalyst 12.11 driver. 

As was the case with all previous Catalyst 12.11 Beta releases, this one also features all the performance improvements and bug fixes from previous releases. The new beta release brings performance improvements for the latest Far Cry 3 game title with up to 25 percent with 8xMSAA, SSAO enabled at 1600p and up to 15 percent with 8XMSAA, HDAO enabled at 1600p. AMD did note that new AMD Catalyst 12.11 CAP2 (Catalyst Application Profile) must be installed as well.

In addition to the performance improvements in Far Cry 3, the new Beta 11 driver release also resolves system hang issues with HD 7000 series GPU on Intel's X58 and X79 chipsets, inermittent hang with HD 7000 series GPUs in Crossfire Eyefinity setup, image corruption issue seen in certain DirectX 9.0c titles, missing fonts in XBMC, no video issue in Media Player Classic HC, stability issues that plagued Catalyst 11.12 Beta 8 Linux driver, and issues with HDMI Audio under Ubuntu 12.04.
