The guys from NordicHardware managed to get their hands on couple of pictures of the upcoming Asus Geforce GTX 580 DirectCU II card that wasn't showcased at the CES 2011. This triple-slot monster card will use a completely custom design featuring a triple slot/dual fan cooler and a custom PCB that has a special VRM made from high-grade components.

As it was the case with the DirectCU II Radeon HD 6970 monster card that Asus showed at CES 2011, this one will also use a custom PCB that has an 10-phase VRM design (8-phase GPU and 2-phase memory). The VRM is made from high-grade components including NEC proadlizer.

The triple-slot cooler uses a hefty aluminum heatsink that gets all the heat that will be drawn from GPU via five heatpipes. In order to cool down the big heatsink, Asus opted for dual 100mm fans. The back plate has two DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs and a large exhaust grill.

According to the details at NordicHardware, the card will surely end up with a factory overclocked settings and there should be even room for additional overclocking. Of course, we are talking about Nvidia's flag-ship GTX 580 GPU with 512 CUDA cores and 1536MB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 384-bit memory interface.
