Powercolor working on new HD 5870 LCS

by on21 June 2010

Improved PCB and 950MHz clock
Following the success of HD 5870 cards, Powercolor has decided to launch a new HD 5870 LCS V2 card. As you all remember, Powercolor launched it first HD 5870 LCS card back in November 2009, but the new card should use the PCB seen on the HD 5870 PCS++ combined with the same EK Water Blocks water block.

The new HD 5870 LCS V2 will run at 950MHz and should have additional overclocking headroom courtesy of the improved PCB. Of course, additional overclocking will depend on your water cooling setup but it is nice to know that the card can do it.

The card should hit retail sometime next month and depending on the region should cost around €499.
