CES 2008: To be ready in a few weeks

OCZ will launch two Solid State Drives in 32GB and 64GB capacities. It promises faster than 100MB write and 120MB read speeds which is surely faster than any mechanical drives in market.

OCZ packed its drives in a nice aluminium cases and we’ve seen an USB connector which implies that you should be able to use it as the external storage device but this might be a pure waste of money as the USB 2.0 is not fast enough to cope with 100MB+ speeds.

The units should be ready in the next few weeks and it will ship at 32GB and 64GB. After the price drops you will see the bigger capacities but even the 64GB should cost at least $500 to $600 at launch.
