AMD has a lot of design wins with its new mobile M88 enthusiast chip. This is a mobile RV670 chip and OEMs and ODMs simply love it. It runs cool and it has found a place in many notebooks.

AMD is still not ready to announce it, but this one will have an improved Power Play as well as DirectX 10.1 support and very decent performance. As it is a 55nm chip, it will have a very good thermal characteristics and this is what matters a lot in notebooks.

It should be launched soon, but we don’t have a fixed date for it.
