Happy New Year to all of you who like spending time reading the site and it seems Santa Claus brought many RV870 based chips and solved the big shortage of Radeon HD 58x0 cards. This is the first real good news for AMD/ ATI and probably most of the industry.

If you like Fermi, you'll have to hope to see it before Easter, but that is another story altogether. Jensen’s team of Santa's little helpers didn’t do a good job to help them deliver this chip in very early 2010. 

You can see here that many Radeons HD 5870 are available and that €340+ will get you this card. They are listed at under this price, but we didn’t find them in stock at such prices.

Radeon HD 5850 is available and starts at €275 and you can find some of them available here.

In the US market, things are also looking good, as Radeon HD 5870 and 5850 are available for purchase and should ship the same day. The same goes for HD 5970 dual card, it's also available in both Europe and the USA.
