Entry level

As you should already know by now, Nvidia and ATI are always transitioning with an entry level for a new manufacturing process. ATI did it with RV740 which doesn’t look like its cheapest entry level card and we believe that Nvidia will do a similar approach.

Several sources have confirmed that Nvidia is getting ready with its 40nm notebook graphics chips launch and we would not be surprised to see some design wins at Computex that starts roughly in a month's time.

The samples of Nvidia’s 40nm mobile GPUs are already out and notebook manufactures will probably embrace it as Nvidia’s mobile 40nm has to fight with ATI’s mobile RV740, 40nm branded as ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4860 and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830. These two GPUs should be available in Asus K series notebooks and we expect to see them in retail by Computex.
