A few smaller ones to go

It looks like Nvidia will try to cut some partners after all. Many people talked to us regarding this issue and it looks that more than a few smaller partners might be cut from Nvidia's support list.

The story behind this is quite logical, the big partners can now twist Nvidia’s arm to do it, as otherwise more people would defer to the red camp. Especially in this moment, Nvidia cannot afford to lose any of its supporters and it especially doesn’t want to see people like XFX and EVGA, the guys with the strongest Nvidia only portfolio, to start selling ATI cards.

Financially, this might be a disaster for the smaller brands; I guess that some of them will eventually disappear, making a bit more breathing space for the big ones. We will keep our eyes open for the latest developments, but it looks that this might be a bright moment for the big ones, and not so bright for many small partners.
