Hybrid Power makes the difference

Geforce 9800GT and Geforce 9800GT Hybrid power are launching today and believe it or not, these are two different cards after all.

As we said in a previous article, the basic Geforce 9800 GT is nothing more than a new bios and a re-brand of Geforce 8800GT card, but the second Geforce 9800GT that supports Hybrid power will actually be based on 55nm G92b chip.

You need the new chip to support Hybrid power and this is one of the key features of Geforce 9 series; the only draw back is that you need an Nvidia chipset to make it work.

The good way to determine if the card is 55 or 65nm is the Hybrid power support, as we are not aware of the clocking of these cards.
