The chaps and chapettes who pre ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order qualify for this two day-long alpha testing. Executive producer at Doom at ID software, Marty Stratton has reminded us that

"This is not a game test or even a beta. This is a limited selection of content and functionality. One map, one mode, one demon, a hand full of weapons and equipment. "

This closed alpha will help the company to test the gameplay as well as the real world scenarios for the multiplayer servers that will launch in 2016 together with the final game.

The map is called Heatwave and it runs in six versus six Deathmatch mode. The demon showing its face is called Revenant and the most powerful weapon is a gauss cannon. The closed alpha has  six weapons including vortex rifle, super shotgun, repeater, rocket launcher, static cannon and plasma riffle and personal teleporter and frag grenade but not Doom's trademark chainsaw.

The official game is expected to be released in spring of 2016. There is a cool video of the Alpha test gameplay below.

The closed beta runs on PC, Xbox One or PlayStation 4 and the PC gamers will need at least a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (2GB VRAM) / AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2GB VRAM) as a minimum or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (3GB or more VRAM) / AMD Radeon R9 280 (3GB or more VRAM) for the real experience.
