Double Fine again snubs Xbox One

Tim Schafer and Double Fine must be in pretty tight with Sony these days. Schafer announced at the PSX 2014 event that three more remsters are in cards for release. While it was a given that they will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, once again for reason unknown the decision has been made to release it for just about every other platform, but Xbox One owners get snubbed.

The remstered version of Grim Fandango is now confirmed for release on January 27th, on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita as well as Linux, PC, and Mac.

The two new titles getting the remaster treatment will include Maniac Mansion 2 and Day of the Tentacle Special Edition. Schafer also confirmed that both parts of Broken Age will be released on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita next year. People seem to be release excited about Day of the Tentacle being remastered for the PlayStation 4 and Vita consoles.

In addition to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Maniac Mansion 2 and Day of the Tentacle Special Edition will be coming to Linux, PC, and Mac. As with most exclusive deals, it is unknown why Double Fine has again to elected to skip release of the new remastered titles on the Xbox One.
