In an effort to get ready for the upcoming release of the “End Game” expansion pack for Battlefield 3, DICE has released a new patch ahead of the expansion pack. The patch is a massive 1.92GB, and DICE suggests that you might want to go ahead and download it now to get ready.

The patch is being described as the “Multiplayer Update 6,” and while the description is a bit vague, it says that it will offer improvements to the multiplayer portions of the game; but the rumor mill suggests that it could be that much of the End Game expansion pack is contained within the patch for Xbox 360 users. The rumor mill claims that the End Game expansion is 1.72GB alone.

No word yet if the PC and PlayStation 3 versions of the game will be getting a patch this big, as well, but our guess is that it is very likely the case.
