New Pitfall coming from Activision

by on10 July 2012

Leeds studio has been working on it

A new re-imagined version of the Atari 2600 classic is coming. The new UK-based Activision Leeds has been handling the development, and has apparently been working on it since earlier this year. While the Leeds studio is the primary studio that is handling the mobile versions of the Call of Duty titles, the studio claims that the studio will be more than that.

Pitfall was the first game for the Atari 2600 platform that came out in 1982 and basically launched Activision. Details on what we can expect from the new version of Pitfall and what platforms it will be available on is still a mystery, but our sources tell us to expect all to be revealed later this year.

It is safe to suspect, however, that the new Pitfall will be targeted at the mobile platforms at least initially, but it is possible that if it proved popular, console releases could be coming in the future.
