It is no surprise that Activision is now confirming that the second downloadable map pack for Call of Duty Black Ops will go on sale May 3rd. The news that we already broke earlier about the map pack was dead on, and that includes the pricing.

The Escalation map pack will arrive first for purchase by Xbox 360 owners and then be released a little while later for PlayStation 3 and PC owners. It will cost those who have to have this map pack offering $15 for the privilege of owning and playing it.

Whispers we hear today seem to indicate that this will be the last map pack release for Black Ops, as the focus shifts to the next and not yet announced Call of Duty offering, which is expected to be called Modern Warfare 3.
