New, ultra-violent Blood Drive still unannounced
The cat is out of the bag on another new title in the works from Activision that is still unannounced at this time. The game is to be called Blood Drive; and apparently it is an ultra-violent racing title that is in the works for release yet this year. Our sources are confirming that it is showing up on the release schedule for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

While the exact release date is still unknown, what we do know is that Blood Drive will getting an expected Mature rating in North America when it arrives in what is projected to be an October release, according to our sources.

Beyond knowing that the game will take place in Las Vegas, the game apparently does contain strong language coupled with what is best described as gory violence in this racing thriller, said to be in the spirit of a Carmageddon type of title. As to why Activision has been so quiet about this title so close to its projected release is anyone’s guess.

We will have to wait and see, but it will not be Activision’s only racing title to see the light of day this holiday season; there is also James Bond: Blood Stone, which is being developed by Bizarre Creations, which is the studio that released Blur through Activision earlier this year.
