Dead system celebrates 10th anniversary

We have to file Rush Rally Racing in the “we didn’t see this one coming” column. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, fans of the Sega Dreamcast will get a new title. It is surprising that the Dreamcast still has the following it does after all of this time, and that someone is actually taking the time to still release software for it.

While Rush Rally Racing might not be the best title that we have ever seen, one has to realize that this is an independent effort for a system that is basically dead; and that it is being released as more of a labor of love than anything else. We doubt that anyone is going to get rich on the release of this title when it is priced at only $22.

It is described as an old school style 2D racer that is designed for pure fun and nothing more. It does have a lot to offer with 10 tracks and five cars to race with, and at least some unlockable content.

The deal is that once it is released you will be able to buy it on Amazon or you can pre-order it from the publisher’s Web site. While the announcement was made today, it will not ship until next month.

Check it out on the publisher’s Web site here.
