DX10 high-end PC necessary to enjoy it, however

Our sources tell us that the PC version of Red Faction: Guerrilla is still on track for release on September 15th. However, you are going to need a very high-end PC running Windows Vista or Windows 7 with a Direct X 10 video card if you really want to enjoy it.

The open world title that is based around Mars will make computers that don’t meet these high-end specs cry at the visuals and performance that are just not that compelling. However, sources insist that when you run the title on the right hardware, the game just comes to life with a look that is incredible: the dust is better, the shadows jump off the screen, and the lighting simply is amazing, according to our sources.

One thing that will be nice for PC users that take the plunge on this $40 title is that they will get most of the download content as part of the package for $40. Yes, they will get close to $70 of value with the download content for just $40; but, of course, they had to wait for it. From we hear, the developers at Volition claim that they learned their lesson from the Saints Row 2 PC version and they wanted to make sure that for the PC version of Red Faction: Guerrilla that they got it right. By all accounts, it seems that they did; still, PC gamers will complain that they had to wait for it and they will have to have a high-end PC to run it. Still, we have to admit that it does sound like a killer deal for the PC user that can play it.
